These shoes were supervised by Gary Borger, a legendary expert in American fly fishing, and manufactured by Weinbrenner, a US company specializing in motorcycle boots, military shoes, and work boots.
The main body material is not genuine leather, but a special synthetic leather that requires no maintenance. It is said to dry quickly even if left out after fishing.
All upper parts are hand-stitched and durable.
The sole is a model with a dense compressed felt sole, which was highly regarded at the time, and features a Goodyear storm welt construction, designed to withstand heavy use and known for its durability. The shoelaces also have D-rings for easy and quick adjustment.
These boots are no longer in production and are extremely rare, making them very difficult to obtain.
I purchased these beautiful boots in excellent condition with minimal use and have been displaying them. They have not actually been used.
