This high-spec gear grease offers excellent lubricity, class-leading load-bearing capacity, and superior waterproof performance for reliable use in saltwater. Made from 100% chemical synthesis, it protects the main gears, the heart of your reel, from extreme cold, scorching summer heat, and constant exposure to wind and rain.
Even with metal gears, applying IOS Gear Grease reduces friction resistance, from small reels requiring high sensitivity for lures under 1g to large saltwater reels prioritizing load capacity. The smooth, moist rotation, often described as sensual, has captivated many users.

The following is purely my personal opinion: The grease is on the stiffer side, with strong viscosity and a sticky feel. Due to its properties, I don't think it's suitable for areas other than reel gears (as it would make them very heavy).
Because of its nature, when using it, apply sparingly (about the size of a single grain of uncooked rice) – otherwise, the reel will feel very heavy and won't perform optimally. Therefore, it may take some practice to get used to handling it at first.
However, once you get the hang of it, you can achieve a light yet moist and smooth reeling sensation. The grease itself is long-lasting and resistant to temperature changes, making it a very effective product.
If you desire even lighter performance, you can mix in a small amount of your preferred oil to create a custom grease with your desired consistency.

You might think the amount is small, but since this is grease specifically for gears and is meant to be applied extremely thinly, this amount is more than enough for several reels.
For application to reels, a flat brush about 2mm wide is recommended for general areas, and a fine-tipped round brush is useful for detailed work.
