Rare! Vintage Framed Art | 12 Types of Canadian Provincial Flowers | Decoupage 3D Artwork

This is a framed three-dimensional art piece created using the decoupage technique.

Decades ago, my father received this as a gift from an acquaintance during his travels in Canada.
Although I was just a child then, I remember gazing at this artwork, which my father brought back with such care, and feeling my heart expand with the thought, There's such a beautiful flower culture in other countries.

Some time later, a friend visited our home and upon seeing this piece, remarked,

Oh, that's the provincial flower of Canada.

At that moment, I realized this artwork was more than just a decoration; it was a story embodying my father's travel memories and the connections he made with people.
Since then, it has been gently displayed in our entryway, adding a warm presence to our daily lives.

About the Artwork

This is a framed three-dimensional art piece created using the decoupage technique.
? Decoupage is a traditional decorative technique that expresses depth and three-dimensionality by layering finely cut images.
? Within the wooden frame, 12 provincial flowers, each symbolizing a Canadian province, are arranged in separate oval window frames.
? Beneath each flower is a small label (nameplate) indicating its name and origin (province), making it a piece that combines the informational value of a botanical specimen with artistic merit.
? It can be displayed either on a wall or as a tabletop piece, allowing for versatile placement.

At the time, decoupage works of this quality required significant effort and skill, and were said to have a rarity value of over 500,000 yen due to their high selling price.

The shading changes depending on the angle of light and viewing position, creating a deep artwork with a new expression each time you look at it.

It serves not only as art but also as a unique interior piece that evokes history, culture, and nature.
