Coach Standard Tote 1983, Navy Blue

I cleaned and conditioned her with my favorite leather products.  RARE, 43 years old!!! She almost looks Black but she is dark Blue.  The Coach Standard Tote is a classic, archival silhouette originally introduced by Coach in 1983. Original one sided leather hang tag and brass ball chain. Heavy, solid brass hardware. The zippers are heavy-duty metal zipper. The stitching is thick, and consistent, and color-matched to the navy blue leather. The creed is cleanly stamped directly into the raw leather pocket or interior wall. The numbers look slightly uneven or deeply pressed, as they were stamped by hand using individual metal dyes. Vintage Navy Coach leather from the 1980s is incredibly thick, smooth, and develops a rich patina over time. It feels buttery soft when conditioned but retain a heavy, sturdy weight. The sequence 523-7422 indicates the specific serial designation given to that individual cut of leather during production. The authentic Standard Tote from 1983 is a structured, open-top or minimalist north-south leather tote bag. It has recently been featured in Coach's official (Re)Loved restoration program!!! The Creed Text: This true 1983 bag feature the early Made in the United States creed. The text should explicitly state that it is made of completely natural glovetanned cowhide with scars and grain variations.  Size: 12w x 8h x 3.5d Handles drop: 5.5 approx.
