(67) YAMAHA Bb Clarinet YCL-35 Good Condition

Type: B♭ Clarinet
Accessories/Parts: Mouthpiece
Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Manufacturer: Yamaha
Body: Grenadilla, Wood
Keys: Silver-plated

This is a Yamaha B♭ Clarinet, model YCL-35.
Serial number: 056798.

When I acquired it, there was dirt and tarnish on the keys.
As it is about 50 years old, the wooden body is made of excellent grenadilla wood.
The silver plating on the keys has minor age-related scratches, but no noticeable damage is apparent. It appears to have been used for a while and then stored for a long period.
There is some deterioration on the silver plating of the lower ring on the barrel (Photo 14).
Please check the photos to confirm and judge the condition.

After acquiring it, I disassembled and inspected it, and cleaned and polished the wooden body and keys. I also checked the condition of the pads.
There is some discoloration due to age.
Six pads that were in poor condition have been replaced.
Key oil was applied and adjustments were made during reassembly.
Bore oil has been applied to the inside of the wooden body.
There are no cracks or repairs on the wooden body.
A simple sound check has been performed.
This is a clarinet in good condition.
I am selling it because I have too many instruments.
