Kebakaran melanda tiga unit rumah di Kam Kong, RT 04/RW 02 Kelurahan Meral Kota, Kecamatan Meral, Kabupaten Karimun, pada Minggu 23 Juni 2023.
Peristiwa kebakaran ini dilaporkan terjadi sekitar pukul 18.45 WIB.
“Awal mula tau tadi sekitar 18.45, warga langsung ramah. Untuk kondisi rumah memang berdempetan,” ungkap seorang warga sekitar di lokasi kejadian, Hendrik.
Di lokasi, 3 unit mobil pemadam kebakaran dibantu dengan satu unit truk pengangkut air diterjunkan untuk memadamkan api yang terus membakar rumah berbahan kayu tersebut.
Polisi juga tampak mengamankan proses pemadaman yang dilakukan, lantaran peristiwa itu mengundang perhatian masyarakat.
“Warga pada kaget, semua habis ludes terbakar. Karena memang rumah kayu,” katanya.
Informasi dihimpun, tiga unit rumah tersebut dua di antaranya berpenghuni.
Sementara diduga api berasal dari salah satu rumah yang kosong.
Atas peristiwa kebakaran ini, kerugian ditaksir hingga mencapai ratusan juta rupiah.
