(Uchiki Red-skinned Sweet Chestnut Pumpkin, certified as Kaga vegetables in Ishikawa Prefecture, was developed in 1933 by the late Saichiro Matsumoto, a diligent farmer in Uchiki Town, Kanazawa City, who introduced red-skinned chestnuts (a variety developed around 1916 in Aizu, Fukushima Prefecture, also called Aizu Chestnut or Sweet Chestnut) from Fukushima Prefecture and bred them into a Western pumpkin.)

Will be shipped via 4th class mail.

Okuaizu Kanayama Red Pumpkin is a registered trademark.
Only red pumpkins produced in Kaneyama Town, Onuma District, Fukushima Prefecture, and sorted and shipped according to standards by the Okuaizu Kanayama Red Pumpkin Producers Association, members of the Kaneyama Town Chamber of Commerce and Industry, can be called Okuaizu Kanayama Red Pumpkin.
